Hi guys,
I just wanted to write a quick post since I haven't been on here in a bit. I recently got a new camera (Canon EOS Rebel T3i) and a new laptop (Macbook Pro) so there is no reason for me not to be consistent with my blogging and videos. I recently posted my first video on my Youtube channel in about a year, which I will link here. In the video, I mentioned that I would briefly explain why I was gone from Youtube for so long, so here goes: Basically, my husband and I found out we were expecting a baby girl last May. I was so sick the first trimester that I did not feel like doing anything at all. I had to take a break from school, so you can imagine I definitely did not feel like making videos. On top of that, my Canon Powershot would only record for a few minutes at a time. Plus, it was just difficult recording with a point & shoot camera because I could never see what I was doing. I started to feel better once I started my second trimester, but my husband and I were traveling back and forth to our hometown frequently. With our lease ending the end of that August, we made the decision to move my son and I back to our hometown so that I could have family and support when it was time to have the baby. My husband had to stay back in Virginia of course to work. I gave birth to our Ellie Chez-Del the day after Christmas. We are currently on the waiting list for our housing in Virginia, so now it's just a waiting game. So about a month ago, my old as laptop (yes, old as, like the Aussies would say) basically started flipping out on me, so I said eff it, & invested in a Macbook Pro. Then about two weeks ago, I decided to say eff it again, & invested in my first ever DSLR camera. & I couldn't be happier! Seriously, blogging and making youtube videos is so fulfilling to me & I'm so happy & grateful to now have the equipment to make high quality videos and take good pictures. I am also thankful for all of you who read my blog and watch my videos, so thank you! I have a bunch of video ideas but I would also like to hear your suggestions and feedback. So yeah, that's pretty much all I wanted to say for those interested in why I've gone missing. Until next post...
